Champion or Violator of Free Speech?

I write to second Houston A. Baker's assessment of Alan Charles Kors: that Mr. Kors champions free speech only when he agrees with the things being said ("A Fiercely Principled Critic Warns Universities on Free Speech," September 25). In 1993, as a third-year graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania in the department of American civilization, I registered for Mr. Kors's course on
