Cash-Strapped Colleges Defer Climate-Commitment Responsibilities
Cabrillo College, a two-year institution in Aptos, Calif., has earned an incomplete. In the drive to slow climate change, the college missed its first deadline by months.
In September, Cabrillo should have turned in a report with a detailed estimate of its greenhouse-gas emissions, the first requirement of any institution that signs the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment.
