Carroll College Divided by Plan
By a vote of 81-14 this month, faculty members at Carroll College, in Waukesha, Wis., expressed no confidence in the president, Frank S. Falcone. The vote followed a series of events that have caused unrest, most recently a report from an internal review committee suggesting that some liberal-arts courses be eliminated.
It was believed to be the first such vote in Carroll's 157-year history. But faculty members said Mr. Falcone's record as president warranted the action. Deirdre
