Carnegie Corporation Plans a Renewed Emphasis on Higher Education
The Carnegie Corporation of New York is restoring the prominence it once gave to higher education.
The new support will focus on four broad areas: reforming teacher education; building liberal-arts curricula that integrate science and technology with the humanities and social sciences; strengthening African universities; and supporting scholarship in nations of the former Soviet Union.
