Career Education to Repay Government
The Career Education Corporation has agreed to repay more than $490,000 to the U.S. Department of Education for breaches of federal financial-aid regulations, the company acknowledged last week.
The for-profit educational company, which operates more than 80 colleges, owes the department $469,000 in aid it received for students at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, in Pittsburgh, and $23,000 for aid received at Collins College, in Tempe, Ariz., according to documents obtained by The
