Canadian Women Make Gains
Women made up a growing proportion of university faculties in Canada from 1990 to 2003, with the number of full-time female professors rising by more than 50 percent while that of their male counterparts dropped by 14 percent, according to a report released last month. But women still account for only 30 percent of universities' full-time faculties, and their pay still lags behind that of men.
