Canadian U. Expels Student Activist
Canada's York University has expelled a student activist for three years for participating in unauthorized demonstrations on the Toronto campus and using a megaphone inside the university's main building while classes were under way. The university says the expulsion of Daniel Freeman-Maloy, a Jewish defender of Palestinian rights, has nothing to do with his political views but is the result of his repeated failure to adhere to York's rules.
