Canadian Students Increasingly Rely on Food Banks
Food banks on Canadian college campuses are reporting an increase in the number of students who need help from the banks' shelves.
With tuition and fees rising, the Canadian Federation of Students says, some students can make ends meet only by relying on the food banks' free supplies of staples like bread and canned goods.
"Food banks are a fact of life on many, if not all, campuses," says Ian Boyko, the group's president.
