Canada's National Library Pulls Scholars' Works From an American Retail Web Site
After consulting with academic and graduate-student groups, the National Library of Canada has decided to stop allowing theses written by Canadian scholars to be sold on the Internet retailing site Contentville.com.
The decision comes after months of protests by Canadian academics, many of whom were surprised and dismayed to discover that an American company was selling their scholarship on the Web.
