Canada Eases Rules for Foreign Students
International students in Canada will be allowed to work off campus starting this summer. Universities, colleges, and student organizations had lobbied for years to change regulations that restricted foreign students to part-time work on their campuses, saying it was unfair to treat those students different from Canadians. The institutions have also argued that allowing off-campus work could strengthen international-recruiting efforts.
