Can Rockwell Survive Cultural Elevation?
In case you haven't noticed, a revival of Norman Rockwell (1894-1978), once America's most popular artist, is taking place. Rockwell is best known for the 322 covers he painted for The Saturday Evening Post, starting in 1916, and his work has probably been seen by more people in the United States than that of any other American artist.
