As Campuses Build Ties With Law Enforcement, Experts Say Privacy Issues Will Arise
Close working relationships between colleges and local law-enforcement agencies are generally viewed positively, but a situation at the University of Iowa illustrates how those relationships can create a conflict between an institution's interests in protecting its campus and students' privacy rights, experts on higher-education legal issues said on Thursday.
