Campus Antiwar Activists Turn Attention to Presidential Election

Now that the United States has declared an end to major combat in Iraq, some campus antiwar activists are shifting their attention to the 2004 elections.

Last week, students at dozens of colleges and high schools delivered "pledge cards" to elected officials signaling their intention to vote in the next election for candidates who promote education spending over military spending.

"If students of the voting age can get together, it's a massive block of people," said Samantha
