Campaigns for Bond Measures Heat Up as Colleges Woo Voters
Hundreds of millions of dollars in college-construction projects are at stake in this year's elections in California and Virginia, where supporters of bond measures on the ballot are waging aggressive campaigns to convince voters to endorse the financing of campus repairs and new facilities.
The voters in both states have almost always backed bond packages for higher education. But this year, voters will be asked to consider the largest such measures ever for colleges in their states,
