California Systems at Odds Over Ballot Measure
Officials at California's two public-university systems are pitting themselves against their counterparts at the state's community colleges by opposing a ballot measure that would guarantee more state money for the two-year institutions.
This month the regents of the University of California and the trustees of California State University passed resolutions against the measure, Proposition 92, which will appear on the state ballot in February.
