California State U. Signs $8-Million Deal With Microsoft for Software Licenses
California State University has signed an $8-million, four-year deal with Microsoft that licenses software for faculty members, staff members, and students on the university system's 23 campuses.
The agreement is far less ambitious than the California Education Technology Initiative, a proposed partnership that fell apart last spring after professors and students protested that the university was ceding
