California State U. Appeals Ruling in Sex-Discrimination Case, Despite Reduced Award
The battle wages on between California State University at Fresno and a former women's basketball coach who won a multimillion-dollar jury verdict in her sex-discrimination case against the institution.
According to court papers filed on Wednesday, the California State University system will appeal a trial judge's recent ruling that effectively denied the university the new trial it had sought. The case will now proceed to the California Court of Appeal.
