California Restricts For-Profit College
A state consumer agency in California has restricted the operating license of a photography college owned by the Career Education Corporation, alleging that the institution systematically misled students about their prospects for employment after graduation.
The Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, a division of the state's Department of Consumer Affairs, denied an application by the Brooks Institute of Photography to renew its license to operate in California.
