California Judge Upholds Law Allowing 2-Year Colleges to Use Hiring Preferences

A California judge last week upheld a state law that allows community colleges, under certain circumstances, to give preferences to job candidates who are female, black, or Hispanic, despite complaints that doing so violates the state Constitution.
