CUNY Reacts to Drop in Community-College Applications With Ad Campaign
The number of applicants to the City University of New York's community colleges took a dip last month, prompting the institution's officials to dive into a major advertising campaign to generate interest.
University officials did not provide precise numbers, but they indicated that the decline from the same time last year was less than 10 percent. By July, they said, applicant numbers were "comparable" to 1999 levels. The drop came less than a year after CUNY
