Bush's Policy on Stem-Cell Research May Cost Stanford U. $60-Million
A Silicon Valley entrepreneur has announced that he will suspend paying the remaining $60-million of the $150-million that he pledged to Stanford University for biomedical research. He made the decision to protest President Bush's recent decision to limit federal financing for studies of embryonic stem cells. The suspension leaves open the possibility that the money will be provided later.
