Bush Taps Official at 2-Year College
President Bush announced last month that he planned to nominate an administrator at Ivy Tech State College-Central Indiana for the job of assistant secretary of education for vocational and adult education.
The nominee, Carol D'Amico, is executive director for work-force, economic, and community development at Ivy Tech's Indianapolis campus. Ivy Tech is a system of two-year technical colleges.
Ms. D'Amico could not be reached for comment.
