Bush Seeks More Studies on Technology in Schools
Gov. George W. Bush of Texas, the probable Republican nominee for president, has unveiled a $400-million plan for using technology to improve student achievement in public schools.
The five-year plan would funnel $65-million annually to the Department of Education's Office for Education Research and Improvement, which would distribute the money to research institutions to evaluate which technology programs are most successful at improving student
