Bush, Nobel Laureates State Opposite Views as Senate Vote on Cloning Nears
With a final Senate vote on cloning drawing closer, the debate heated up last week as 40 Nobel laureates released a letter asking lawmakers not to bar researchers from using cloning technology to create stem cells for medical use. Meanwhile, President Bush voiced his strongest support yet for the proposed ban, saying such research would be immoral.
