Bush Considers 2% Increase for NIH in 2004

The Bush administration is poised to propose a budget increase of 2 percent for the National Institutes of Health for the 2004 fiscal year, a rise larger than the tiny increase that officials floated last month but lower than some research advocates had hoped for.
