A bus carrying students and lecturers from a Thai university crashed early this morning, killing at least 21 people, The Nation reported.
Agriculture and technology students from Khon Kaen University were on a field trip traveling to the coast when the bus went over an embankment in Prachinburi province. The newspaper reported that the bus’s brakes had failed, but other news reports said highway police officers suspected that the driver had fallen asleep.
The bus was carrying 43 students and lecturers as well as three staff members. The newspaper said that 23 people had been injured.
