Burned by Wildfire, a California Campus Plans Recovery
Saturday afternoon, less than 48 hours after a blazing California wildfire tore through their campus, destroying several buildings and many faculty homes, Westmont College officials announced that they hoped the Santa Barbara, Calif., institution could reopen this Wednesday.
The college's president, Gayle D. Beebe, plans to announce when classes and other operations will resume by 9 p.m. tonight, California time. The decision will be based partly on the judgment of fire
