Brooklyn College's History Department Leaves Behind a Tenure Dispute and Gets a New Chairman

The furor in the Brooklyn College history department is quieting down. After being roiled for more than a year by a contentious tenure dispute about collegiality, the department is going to get some new blood. Philip F. Gallagher, who was at the center of another professor's complaints about unfair treatment, is no longer the chairman.
