Broad Institute Gets $100-Million Pledge
The Broad Institute, a joint venture of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, received a $100-million pledge this month that will help researchers in neuroscience and clinical psychiatry explore the molecular causes of psychiatric disease.
The gift is from the Stanley Medical Research Institute, in Chevy Chase, Md. The money will be used to create the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research and pay for research there over the next 10 years.
