British Researchers Get to Publish in 90 Online Medical Journals Free
British researchers in biology and medicine will soon be able to publish their work free in more than 90 peer-reviewed online journals, after a higher-education organization paid the publishing fee usually charged to authors.
The agreement, which took effect this month, may spur more of the 80,000-plus researchers in those fields in British universities to publish with BioMed Central, an online-only publishing house based here that puts out specialized titles such as BMC Bioinformatics
