British Faculty Union Votes to Encourage Israeli Boycott

Britain's largest faculty union approved a controversial measure last week that calls on its 67,000 members to consider individually boycotting Israeli academics over what the group calls Israel's "apartheid" policies against Palestinians.

Delegates passed the motion by a vote of 106 to 71, with 21 abstentions, at the annual meeting of the National Association of Teachers in Further and Higher Education, held over the weekend in Blackpool, England. The vote came three days before the
