The recent debate over a proposed golf course on university land in Indiana may soon be echoed across the Atlantic.

Developers are eyeing land surrounding Britain's Ushaw College, which trains Roman Catholic priests and is part of the University of Durham. As in many other countries, interest in joining the priesthood has dropped in Britain, and in the past few years, enrollment has fallen at the college from 100 to 30 students.
