Britain Said to Lack Graduate Students
British universities must substantially increase graduate enrollments in the humanities and social sciences, or they will face a serious shortage of talent, warns a new report.
The British Academy -- membership in which is one of the highest distinctions for scholars in the arts, humanities, and social sciences -- commissioned Robert Bennett, a University of Cambridge geography professor, to survey 721 university departments.
