Brigham Young U. Revises Its Guidelines on Homosexuality

Brigham Young University has modified its honor code to be less hostile toward gay students, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

The new wording states that the university “will respond to homosexual behavior rather than to feelings or orientation.” Previously, anything construed as “advocacy of a homosexual lifestyle” was a violation. The change came on the heels of protests by current and former BYU students. —Thomas Bartlett
