Brigham Young U. Merges Its Men's and Women's Sports Programs
Brigham Young University sports are going coed.
OK, the university actually has offered women's teams for a long time -- since before the passage of federal legislation requiring gender equity in education. But BYU announced in September that it would merge the men's and women's programs, which have operated as distinct units since their inception.
