Brigham Young U. Enters Semipro Soccer League
The men's soccer team at Brigham Young University will begin play this May in the semiprofessional Premier Developmental League. The university has purchased a franchise in the league for $40,000, giving the team a more challenging alternative to lower-level club play.
This is thought to be the first time that a university has bought such a slot in a professional league.
