Brigham Young U. Arrests Gay-Rights Activists

Brigham Young University police officers on Monday arrested five activists who had attempted to take a gay-rights crusade onto the campus, The Salt Lake Tribune reported today. The protesters were briefly detained and then released. They are part of a group, called Soulforce, that is promoting gay rights on a nationwide tour of conservative Christian universities and military academies. More than 20 of the group’s members were arrested last month at Liberty University (The Chronicle, March 10).
