Boston College Submits Controversial Plan for Campus Expansion to City Officials
Boston College submitted a 10-year master plan to the Boston Redevelopment Authority last week that includes $800-million in construction and renovation around its campus in suburban Boston. The construction is part of a $1.6-billion strategic plan that also calls for hiring new faculty members and establishing new academic centers.
Some $300-million of the construction will be on the 65 acres the college purchased from the Archdiocese of Boston for $172-million between 2004 and 2007.
