Book Reports on Faculty Attitudes Toward Professors' Misconduct
Jackson Barkley berates students in his mathematics course when they ask what he finds stupid questions, and he openly insults colleagues who he thinks are poor teachers.
Should Professor Barkley be fired, or at least reprimanded? "Yes" is the resounding reply of faculty members who responded to this hypothetical case as part of a national survey on inappropriate teaching behaviors.
