Book Drop
Like many college libraries, ours is in the process of getting rid of books to make room for new ones. The latest excision consists of 30,000 books. They have been put in a special storage space for now, so that faculty members can find out which volumes in their areas of interest are about to disappear. More conveniently, a list of the items has been posted on the Claremont Colleges Library's Web site, so that it is not necessary to visit the storage area. As I am no longer an active faculty
