Bond-Rating Update for July 2001

The following institutions had their bond ratings upgraded or downgraded during July 2001. Ratings, which reflect the relative financial strength of institutions, help determine their cost of borrowing.

UPGRADES
  • Clarkson University, by Moody's Investors Service, from Baa1 to A3. Applies to $23.4-million in new and outstanding bonds. Reasons cited include increasing enrollment
