Bond-Rating Agency Praises Virginia Tech

Moody's Investors Service has affirmed the high bond rating of Virginia Tech, in part because of how well the university has managed the aftermath of the mass shooting on its campus in April.

"The able response of Virginia Tech, along with state and federal authorities and the broader community," to the shootings means that they will not affect the long-term credit quality of the college, according to a report by Moody's analysts. The report upholds Virginia Tech's Aa3 rating, which is
