Bond-Issue Vote Rescheduled in Texas

A community-college district in Texas has agreed to reschedule an election for its Board of Trustees and for a proposed $250-million bond issue after the U.S. Department of Justice objected to the district's plan to reduce the number of polling places, from 84 to 12, for the election, which was originally to be held in May.
