A widely publicized threat to detonate radioactive “dirty” bombs at football stadiums this weekend turns out to have been a hoax, the Associated Press is reporting. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security had warned the NCAA, among other groups, that sports arenas among its members could be the intended targets.
