A bomb threat today shut down the three campuses of the University of Southern Maine, but after a police search turned up no evidence of an explosive, classes resumed at about 4 p.m., according to a report on the KeepMeCurrent.com Web site. The source of the threats and the motive behind them were not immediately clear.
