Board Fires President of 2-Year College in Milwaukee Over Drunken-Driving Arrest

The governing board of Milwaukee Area Technical College voted Thursday night to oust President Darnell E. Cole, who this month was issued a citation for drunken driving, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported today. Mr. Cole apologized, and some students rallied for him to keep his job, but the board recommended his immediate termination. —Paul Fain
