'Blue Sky' Planning Opens the Floor to Ideas at Pomona

Compared with most colleges, Pomona College has it made.

A highly selective, private liberal-arts institution of 1,500 students, Pomona is tucked against Southern California's majestic San Gabriel Mountains. It has an enviable 8-to-1 student-faculty ratio, and its $1.5-billion endowment amounts to about $1-million per student, eighth-highest among all colleges.
