Blackboard Will Acquire a Competitor, Prometheus, From George Washington U.
Blackboard, the educational-software company, is buying one of its pluckiest competitors -- Prometheus, a project at George Washington University.
Representatives of the company and the university won't discuss the financial terms of the deal, but they say George Washington will become an equity stakeholder in Blackboard, a privately held company based here.
