Black Coaches Group Says U. of South Carolina Ignored Minority Hiring Recommendations

That was the message Floyd Keith was preaching last week. As director of the Black Coaches Association, he wants prospective coaches and athletes to shun the University of South Carolina at Columbia for ignoring the association's recommendations for an inclusive hiring process. Last month the university chose Steve Spurrier to replace Lou Holtz as the Gamecocks' head football coach.
