Bisexual Students Face Tension With Gay Groups
New student organizations for bisexual students who feel shunned by gay-student support groups are emerging on some campuses.
Supporters of the new groups say many of the student organizations set up as havens for gay, lesbian, and bisexual students have succumbed to the very kinds of intolerance and discrimination that they were chartered to fight. The phenomenon has a name in queer circles: "biphobia," or antipathy toward those who identify as bisexual.
